Privacy policy
This covers the Sentinel app, package pl.abcit.monitoring, publisher ABC IT. Last updated: 25 September 2026.
Google Play requires this page to be public. It says what the phone processes and what we do not collect.
1. The short version
- The app does not create an account and does not ask you to register.
- There are no ads and we do not sell data.
- Video, sound, GPS and motion sensors are processed on the phone.
- We do not keep our own archive of recordings.
- If a purchase appears, Google Play handles it. We never see the card number.
2. What stays on the device
To watch a home or a car, the app uses the camera, microphone, location and motion sensors. Recordings, thumbnails and the event log stay in the phone's storage until you delete them or uninstall the app.
Person, motion, loud-sound, glass-break and cry detection run on the device. The picture is not uploaded to a model we host.
3. Remote view
Live view opens with a link or a code that expires. The site address alone is not enough. The connection is encrypted.
A phone behind a router is often not reachable directly. The app can then open a temporary Cloudflare tunnel so the view reaches the person you gave the link to. The tunnel carries the connection. It is not a film library and it does not give us a copy of your recordings.
4. Alerts you turn on yourself
SMS, Telegram, a webhook, email, Home Assistant or MQTT send a message only after you set the destination. It goes to the service you chose, under that service's rules. We do not copy it into a database of our own.
5. Permissions

6. Children
Sentinel is not a children's app and is not directed at anyone under 13.
7. Deleting data
There is no account to delete. You delete recordings in the app. Uninstalling removes the app data from the phone. A message already sent to your Telegram, SMS or webhook stays with that recipient — you delete it there.
